Rothwell Cottage - Robin Hood's Bay

This is our 8th Year coming to Robin Hoods Bay. We book to come again as as soon as we get home, so that says it all really.The cottages, the bay, the pubs, the people, the beach, the surroundings, are all wonderful, and we have always been very well looked after. The highlight of our year..

We have been coming to RHB on and off for over 30yrs and obviously love the place, the walks, the facilities that's why we decided to spend our 30th wedding anniversary here. We have never been disappointed with any of the cottages we have stayed at as long as you appreciate the ages of these properties. We will be back soon

The weather was beautiful so we were outside all day. We enjoyed eating fish and chips, walking to Boggle Hole and exploring the pathways.

Wonderful stay at Rothwell cottage. We can’t wait to return to beautiful Robin hoods bay.

Frequent visitors to RHB we love the charm, beauty, tranquility and welcome we receive from locals who know us now! Have stayed in many different holiday cottages all of which have been unique. Lovely! Whilst physically fit enough to climb the hill we will always return to the Bay. We just love it here ?

We love returning to RHB time after time. It is always a great place to kick back and chill. Rothwell cottage had everything we needed and nice little touches like a door gate for the dog.

We've been coming to Robin Hood's Bay for 8 years now and love it every time! We've stayed in a few cottages in the bay. Rothwell is one of our favourites. It's got such a personal touch. We've booked with Baytown Holiday Cottages the last few times and would definately recommend them.

Absolutely fabulous cottage in all respects, cannot recommend it enough. Spotlessly clean, has everything needed for a very comfortable stay & possibly the best view from a loo we have ever had! Service from the Baytown team has been great - thank you, we will definitely be coming again.

Perfect location, RHB gets under your skin. This was our third visit this year and the second stay at Rothwell Cottage. Idyllic location, great sea views and 30 seconds from the nearest pub!Sam is great, really supportive and friendly.He works at The Victoria so pop in and say hello and admire the sea views!We will definitely be back.

I try to visit RHB 3 or 4 times a year to enjoy the feeling of peace and relaxation in this lovely village and for the last couple of years I have booked with Baytown because the booking process is so easy and the service provided by Sam has been great! Our most recent stay was in Rothwell Cottage and wow....this is one of the nicest cottages I have stayed in. It's comfortable and in a great location and has a parking permit in with the price! What makes this cottage so special is that it has been renovated to a very high standard. Fixtures and fittings are top quality and the decor is so tasteful.I loved it and would definitely recommend and stay there again.

We had a really lovely relaxing week staying in Rothwell which had a good sized t.v ( a rareity in most holiday lets ) a Dvd player and t.vs in both bedrooms - yes we do like to watch t.v after a day spent walking :) We loved watching the sunsets and even saw the sun rise a couple of times sat on the Quarter Deck. We did the Ghost Walk with Rose Rylands which was interesting and entertaining and we went into the small but well packed museum next door to Rothwell who deserve donations as it is run by volunteers. Last but by no means least Baytown Cottage agency is run by the most helpful and considerate agents Sam and Sian that we have ever used they set the bench mark very high I wish they could expand to other areas of the country so we could always use them they really do go the extra mile to make sure staying in one of their property's is as good or better than expected.

Lovely cottage, beautifully furnished, ideal location. Booking process very easy and great communication, always a very quick response to any query. We had such a lovely week. We come to RHB every year but first time in Rothwell. Would definitely re-book. Thank you.

We love Robin Hoods Bay, this was our first time at Rothwell Cottage and we were pleasantly surprised as it was lovely. The only downside I would feedback is that the downstairs space doesn't complement the lovely spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Only 3 of us stayed but had we had 5 which was capacity there would not have been enough room to sit downstairs. Perhaps taking our the huge dining table and adding another sofa would be more practical?The bath started leaking during our stay which I reported to Sam and someone was sent out the next day to check it which was great. It didn't cause us any issues.We love the cottage and if the two of us go back to Robin Hoods Bay ( rather than 3 or 4) we would definitely book it again.Sam was really helpful and I will definitely use Baytown again to book out next stay.

One of our favourite places to visit, if Carslberg did holidays....Rothwell Cottage is in a great location, 2 minutes from the beach but secluded and tranquil setting.Great sea views from and Sam at Baytown was so helpful when needed.A+++++ rating from us!

We were really impressed with the service from Sam - from having to rebook because of COVID through to his willingness to help with all our enquiries. The cottage was clean and comfortable and we loved Robin Hoods Bay and taking coastal walks along the beautiful coastline nearby. The Smugglers pub is a real gem and only 50 metres from the cottage - we found ourselves in there every evening for a nightcap!!!! We also really enjoyed a meal at the Wayfarer Bistro at the top of the hill and the fish and chips from the shop just down from the cottage were the best we’ve ever had. Thank you again for a fantastic few days - we will have no hesitation in booking again!

We had beautiful weather. The cottage was very comfortable and great that we had two bathrooms. Very relaxing walks in the beach along with bit of sunbathing. Our dog enjoyed his first beach holiday.

The location was great and the accommodation was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay, as usual. The reason for 3 stars is that we like a sea view or being able to sit outside the cottage and look at the view - which we couldn’t do at Rothwell. But no issues with our stay.

Another brilliant trip to RHB! Thanks again for the excellent service and brilliant cottage. Can’t wait to visit again later this year.

We stay in RHB at least once a year and love the amazing views, village atmosphere and quaint cottages. Rothwell cottage was a lovely place to stay, very well equipped with nice coastal themed decor. The views from the attic bedroom and en-suite were photographed many times during our stay and were beautiful in the different weathers we experienced. Thankyou.

Very well equipped throughout. Lovely bedroom in the attic space. Close to the shore. Very good heating. Idyllic traditional cottage.RHB itself is a spectacular stretch of coastal scenery that is largely unsurpassed.

Lovely cottage, so beautifully decorated and everything you need in one spot.Also a perfect location for the village and the care park spot was an added bonus.We can't wait to come back!
