Gilroyd House - Robin Hood's Bay

Very relaxing stay with husband and two young children. Property is very spacious. Beds were so comfy. Stairs not too steep like most other properties in the bay so good for young children. Brilliant location at bottom of bay close to beach.

This was our second stay at Gilroyd House. It's well located, has plenty of space for larger parties, and is well equipped. We can't fault the cottage or the service from Sam and Sian. Thank you

Gilroyd House is in a fantastic position in the heart of the lower bay. It has everything you need and benefits from three bathrooms. We’ve stayed there twice now and just love it. There’s a great selection of books and DVDs to keep you entertained if needed. Booking through Baytown Cottages is highly recommended, Sam is incredibly responsive and helpful, we couldn’t ask for a better experience!

We love Robin Hoods Bay, it’s our happy place. This is our first time booking with Bay Town Holiday Cottages and it won’t be our last. Super booking and communication. Fabulous cottage. We had a great stay, Gilroyd Cottage was clean, just as described, and great for our family catch up. Three bathrooms were perfect for six adults, lots of space to eat and chill out together. The window seat was a firm favourite! Beds were really comfy too! Thank you.Robin Hoods Bay was a delightful as always, we will definitely be back!

RHB has become our escape from everything destination and Sam & Sian, at Baytown Holiday Cottages, make it so eay to do.Gilroyd House, was another first time stay for us and yet again, a perfect bolt hole. A bigger cottage for us this time, so we brought along our daughters too. Seperate rooms and 3 bathrooms, what's not to like. For a big cottage it's cosy, welcoming and relaxing, with all the ammenities you could want for. Definitely another cottage to add to the 'come back to list'.

Fantastic cottage with plenty of space in a very good location, only a five minute walk to the beach. Booking with Baytown holiday cottages couldn’t be any easier, we’ll definitely be using them for all our future trips to Bay. Thanks Sam for all your help.

Excellent family cottage which is thoughtfully laid out and decorated. Well placed in the bay for the beach and local businesses. Great local walks on your doorstep including Whitby and Ravenscar. Plenty of local eateries and takeaways, we particularly enjoyed the meal we had in Brambles Bistro. Sam and Sian made the whole process easy from beginning to end.I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to holidaying in the bay.

This was our second stay time staying in Robin Hood's Bay with Baytown Cottages and yet again we had another fantastic stay. Gilroyd house sits above a small parade of cafes/shops and extends into the sky being 3 storeys tall above that. Even though underneath you there are commercial properties, you can't hear or are made aware of it and the cottage was very peaceful.The stairs are a bit steep leading up to the front door, but once inside there is everything you need for your holiday. All the beds were comfortable and well equipped with bedding and pillows, everywhere was clean and tidy and there were really good touches like umbrellas, dvd's to watch, books to read and plenty of toys and games for the kids. The little bay window looking over the street was definitely the most coveted spot to sit in, and listening to the brook at night was very relaxing. Sam as usual was great at giving me lots of information prior to visiting and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

Frequent visitor to Robin Hoods Bay and have stayed at Gilroyd House before. Short break Mon - Fri and as always thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Gilroyd is in a perfect position and is a comfortable stay. Beds are perfect. Kitchen is small, but equipped for cooking small easy meals.

We loved the house, it is a fantastic place. So much space for 6 people. Lounge, dining room and bedrooms are a really good size. Its situation is perfect, right in the middle of RHB, with shops, bars and restaurants within very easy reach. The sea is roughly 100m away. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely few days - lucky with the weather so lots of walks on the beach:) spacious , clean , well equipped ( our girls older but amazing stock of toys in the loft playroom for young ones) would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Wonderful accomodation in a fantastic location with everything you needed for a perfect stay. The house well equipped with all you could ask for. Sam was on hand early Sunday morning when we had a minor issue and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely return.

Comfortable, spacious and well equipped cottage. Beds are lovely and comfortable, plenty of space for 6 adults and our dog who was also catered for and felt very settled! Certainly one of the nicer cottages we've stayed in in the Bay (we've stayed in a lot over the years!)

Our first time at Gilroyd cottage but not our first time in Bay!! Absolutely loved Gilroyd - great position down the hill - not such a great position for The waist line being next to Browns the most delicious chocolate shop - must have been in 3 times out of 5 days there!! Great space inside the cottage with lounge with lovely window seat for people watching and dining room/kitchen with plenty of roomTo seat 6 guests.We had the en-suite bedroom with what must have been the comfiest bed we had ever slept in. Our friends had the other double with the family bathroom - again extremelyComfy bed!Upstairs was the twin room which wasn’t needed however the bath was used by my husband after completing the Coast to Coast walk (192 miles in 12 days!) which he soaked his weary legs in and said was so deep he didn’t want to get out!Was great to see a recycling bin in the kitchen aswell as a normal bin. Again blown away by Baytown Cottages service for being brilliant with early check in - I explained I was coming over on my own early doors before my husband arrived 3 days later and would it be possible to get in any earlier with all the luggage and pooch - nothing is ever too much trouble for these guys! I continue to use them regularly - well done fabulous customer service!!

Gilroyd house is beauitful, a real home from home, comfy beds, space for all the family, wonderful having 3 bathrooms, never stayed in the actual bay before, was great to be able to spend a lot of time on the beachSam from baytowncottages, was great, contacted him a couple of times, always very helpful. nothing was too much troubleWould definetly stay in a baytowncottage again

This is a really lovely and spacious cottage, it even has a dishwasher.We all enjoyed our stay.

Have been visiting RHB for many years and just love it, Gilroyd House has a fabulous location in the lower bay, which is where we prefer to stay. The house is nice, beds are comfortable. Exceptional with 3 bathrooms, including an amazing roll top bath. Also dog friendly which for us is a must, even had raised dog bowls! For a holiday home it suited us all well.
