Home to some of Folk Music’s greats makes for another good reason to enjoy this wonderfully magical music right here in Robin Hood’s Bay. You can join in Folk Club every Friday at Ye Dolphin Pub if you fancy wetting your whistle with a little of the Folk Music scene. You may already be a Folky in your own right so bring along your instrument of choice and sing and play to your hearts content.
One weekend each June Robin Hood’s Bay is host to it’s very own Folk Weekend. The Pubs and Café’s alike will be hosts to many a Folk Singer. A fun weekend for children, adults and music lovers alike and if the pooch loves music then bring them along too.
You will also find lot’ more live music throughout the year in Robin Hood’s Bay. Most Tuesday Nights in The Grosvenor Hotel you will find the legendary Steve Phillips and The Rough Diamonds. You will also find live music at The Grosvenor Hotel on most Saturday nights. You will find both nights to be great entertainment and a great atmosphere.
Tea, Toast & Post makes for an intimate venue of live music usually seating about 30 with an offering of a light supper on the occasional night throughout the year. Tickets sell out fast. Tea, Toast & Post is also fully licensed, and you will find a range of alcoholic and soft beverages for sale to wash down your delicious supper as you enjoy the music.
December is also host to The Robin Hood’s Bay Victorian Weekend. A Christmas seaside extravaganza. You’ll find carols in the Dock, Folk Music and the usual suspects of live music throughout the weekend and a whole host of Christmas fun.
