Booking, Payments & Check-In FAQs
Can I arrive on a different check-in day?
If dates appear in light green on the availability calendar, you can book alternative arrival days.
Do you offer discounts?
Our prices reflect the season, cottage and demand. We believe in fair, transparent pricing rather than inflating prices only to discount them later.
Do you offer Blue Light discounts?
We do not currently offer Blue Light discounts as we are a small independent holiday cottage booking agency.
Why don't you offer one-night stays?
Preparing every cottage involves cleaning, laundry and maintenance. A minimum stay of 2 or 3 nights helps us cover these costs and maintain high standards.
Can I bring an extra guest?
Cottages must not exceed their maximum occupancy for safety and insurance reasons.
How do I pay for & manage my booking?
Booked online? Log in to your guest account to manage your booking and make payments. You can also pay by bank transfer or over the phone.
I haven't received my booking information.
First, check your junk or spam folder. If it's not there, get in touch and we'll resend your booking confirmation as soon as possible.
What happens if I need to cancel?

What time is check-in and check-out?
Standard check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am for all Baytown Holiday Cottages stays.
Can I check in early or check out late?
Early check-in or late check-out may occasionally be possible depending on cleaning schedules and availability.
Parking & Travel FAQs for Robin Hood’s Bay
Is Fisherhead Car Park open?
Yes. Fisherhead Car Park is open. Guest parking must be arranged directly with the car park operators and is subject to availability.
Can I drive up to Fisherhead to turn around?
Vehicles cannot use the former Fisherhead Car Park to turn round or park. ANPR cameras operate, unauthorised access may result in a fine.
Where can we park in Robin Hood’s Bay?
Guests can park at Bank Top or Station Car Park in the upper village, both run by the council.
Can I unload near the cottage?
Yes, guests can briefly unload near by to the lower village cottages before parking in the upper village council car parks.
How far is the walk from the car parks?
The walk from Bank Top or Station Car Park into lower Robin Hood’s Bay is around 5–10 minutes downhill.
Are there EV chargers nearby?
Yes, 4 electric vehicle charging points are available at Bank Top Car Park in Robin Hood’s Bay.
Is there disabled parking in the lower village?
Disabled parking is only available in the upper village council car parks, 2 spaces in each location. Some upper village cottages offer private or on road parking options.

Can I bring a well-behaved dog to any cottage?
Some cottages are pet-free due to owner rules or allergies, so dogs can only stay in dog-friendly cottages.
Is Robin Hood’s Bay beach dog friendly?
Yes, dogs are welcome on Robin Hood’s Bay beach all year round, making it ideal for coastal dog walks.
Is there a charge for bringing dogs?
Dogs stay free at Baytown Holiday Cottages. Extra dogs approved by owners may have a small additional charge.
Can I bring more than one dog?
Many cottages welcome two or more dogs, perfect for holidays with pets in Robin Hood’s Bay.
Can I leave my dog in the cottage?
Dogs should not be left unattended in cottages, but local dog sitters and walkers are available nearby.

Towels are provided in all cottages, though guests should bring extra beach or dog towels if needed.
Is there Wi-Fi in the cottages?
Yes, all Robin Hood’s Bay cottages include Wi-Fi, while Rosemary Cottage offers a digital detox escape.
Is fuel provided for log burners and fires?
Some cottages provide enough fuel for the first night, but guests should bring or buy extra supplies locally.
Do you have ground floor accommodation?
Yes, we offer a cottage with full ground floor living, 2 double bedrooms and an additional twin room and WC upstairs.
Do you have ground floor bedrooms?
Yes, we offer easier-access cottages including Laburnum with ground floor living and The Warehouse with ground floor bedrooms.
