First time visit to the area and it was lovely. Great weather, lovely walks and great food.Rommaville was perfect for a family, plenty of space and the views from the bedrooms didn't disappoint.
This was our second family stay in Romaville. We had a great time and Romaville is the perfect place to explore Robin Hood’s Bay.The house is spacious, cosy, comfortable, beautifully decorated, with lots of its original features. The sea views from the front bedrooms of the house are spectacular.I also love the newly installed bathroom on the top floor, which is really luxurious and gives a second shower as well as a bath.I’d really recommend this house as a brilliant place to stay.
Great week, staying in this lovely house in our favourite place, my happy place. The house is lovely with amazing views over the bay from the front rooms. Great position, I would say parking for 2 cars is debatable, our car is large, once parked, which took several manoeuvres, you couldn’t get out passenger side, and parking hindered by rubbish bins lined up opposite the entrance, we used car park for 2nd car. Great well equipped kitchen and fab range cooker. A house of that size would benefit from 2 showers as bathrooms are so big. Needs a few updates, the kitchen taps turn opposite way, kept getting showered with water, just about mastered it after a week, and the kitchen chairs are rather old and a bit rickety, one seat kept falling through the frame. These are just small criticisms, and they wouldn’t stop me from staying again. Overall really enjoyed our stay at Romaville. Also fabulous that it is dog friendly !!
Beautiful, clean and well equipped house. Perfect location with great views.
Loved our stay at Romaville with the family. Absolutely stunning views & a treat to have a garden for the doggies plus carparking spaces neither of which you usually get in the lower Bay where just the two of us & dog's have stayed previously. It's right next to the Victoria Hotel where the food & ice cream are some of the best in the Bay. A big thank you to Sam & the lovely owners of Romaville for the understanding with a breakage we had!
Loved Romaville ideal for a family holiday. Very well equipped throughout and fantastic views. Nice to see lots of original features and furniture. Quiet and nice to have a small garden and parking. Lovely and clean on arrival thanks once again for a good holiday and the wine and chocolates when we arrived.
We had a lovely holiday in Robin Hood’s Bay. Romaville is a beautiful house and all the facilities were great. It was a lovely house to celebrate an 80th and 49th birthday. The views from the front windows were amazing.
We love RHB - the magic of the village, the people and the surrounding area. Baytown Holiday Cottages always make our holiday special. They have such a fabulous selection of cottages, Sam & Sian always go that extra mile and help with any questions I may have. And of cause the Bay welcomes us back every year without fail.
I have been wanting to visit this part of the coast for years!! The house made the stay for us. We all loved it!! We will be back with other family members hopefully, In the future.
We stayed in Romanville for 2 nights. The house is beautiful, everything you could need and more.We had an amazing stay.Highly recommend Baytown holiday cottages , Sam provides a first class service. ?????
Fabulous holiday house for up to nine people, enabling us to enjoy a family celebration.Very well equipped, fantastic views over Bay and in a quiet area, but close to restaurants etc.Overall a good time was had by all.
What a lovely place to stay. Great booking agents and really great holiday let - very tasteful and well appointed. Outstanding views across the bay. Great bedrooms and bathrooms and all spotlessly clean. We all loved it and for some it was a first trip to this gorgeous part of the coast… we will all be back for sure!
We are annual holidaymakers to RHB, usually staying in the lower village, and this year we stayed in a large Victorian villa in the upper village. The accommodation was perfect for an extended family of 8, age range 5 to 98 years. Lots of room to relax, dine and play indoor games. The decor was fabulous and in keeping with the era of the house. RHB has lots to offer: sand and rockpools, local shops and small businesses, (sadly several were closed, probably as a result of the economic impact of the pandemic, hopefully they will re-open), and eating places. Whitby is nearby, and I'd recommend West Cliff beach for families. We also usually visit Pannetts Park, home to Whitby Museum which is full of exhibits of interest to all ages. A little further afield is Scarborough - If you aren't keen on the South Bay seafront which often very busy, there's Peasholm Park with the very entertaining Naval Warfare exhibition, and the Northstead Manor Gardens. Other close by coastal villages are Runswick Bay and Staithes. And then there's inland villages and towns to visit...lots to fit into a RHB holiday! We always find it hugely enjoyable.
RHB love it, love it, love it. What is there not to love about this beautiful village. So much to do (walking, bike riding, building sand castles) or just chill with a good book and a glass of something.
