Reviews

Hensingham was absolutely perfect for us. Enough space for our whole family, 2 adults, 2 adult sized teenagers and our pooch. February half term in Bay was a change from our normal summer break, but it was just as good. Beach walks, trips to Goathland and Yorkshire Cycle Hub, visits to Dollies Sweet Shop and the Toy Shop. Nothing is too much trouble for Sian and Sam from booking, to during the stay. Thanks to you both

Always loved the Bay, great memories.

I have found Robin Hoods Bay to be a charming place to stay for several years. I particularly like to stay in cottages in the lower part of the Bay as it’s lovely to be so close to the beach & in the ' heart ' of the Bay. Hensingham is a great cottage as it has a garden ( quite rare)where you can relax & also enjoy privacy. For me The Bay is like a small village where I feel safe walking around on my own at night.I have spoken to many other folk who love Robin hoods Bay however I would advise anyone with mobility problems that it's not good for them as has a very steep hill in & out of The Bay..plus the pubs & cottages have steps/ stairs

Because it is such a lovely quaint place ,full of character and lovely places to discover .There is always a nice feel about Robin hoods bay.

Lovely comfortable, well equipped cottage right in the heart of the old village. The children loved crabbing on the beach and were out there early every morning as the beach was so close. Great family holiday.

The cottage was exactly what we required and more. It was cute and cosy, but also spacious enough for our stay. The garden was a good size and it allowed us to take our dog off the lead in a safe, enclosed space. The external utility room, equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer was a welcome addition to the property, as was the dishwasher (a luxury that we don’t have at home). Sam had gone above and beyond during the booking process, which provided us with a positive start to our holiday. All communication with him was prompt and friendly, making us feel very comfortable with our decision to book through Baytown Holiday Cottages. The bay itself was so lovely. It felt really safe and relaxing. There was plenty to do, without the village feeling too busy. Our dog adored playing on the beach and it was great to be able to just nip into the local pubs with him. It was so nice to know that pretty much everywhere was dog friendly. We walked along the beach to Ravenscar (took around 1.5hours) where we were incredibly fortunate to see approximately 100 seals in their natural habitat, a real highlight of our holiday. We will, without a doubt, be booking through Baytown again. We loved the location and the property equally and had a really fantastic holiday. Thank you Sam and Sian
