Reviews

We were already stopping in The Bay and wanted to stay longer - couldn’t stay in the cottage we were already in so Andy contacted Baytown Cottages and they couldn’t have been more helpful- we were able to move to Brigholme. Normal check in would have been 15:00 but to save us lugging our luggage up the hillTo the car park and down again Sam offered to meet us at the new cottage and store our luggage’s there till it had been cleaned and we could get in! Absolutely fabulous customer service - we have used Baytown Cottages before and are stopping with them again at Christmas! Brigholme is a wonderful cottage larger than a lot of them and beautifully decorated. The annex over the pavement belonging to the cottage is great for extra space and another toilet and shower. It’s location is perfect for all the amenities and the beach! It’s so lovely to be able to stay and such a gorgeous cottage with our dog. We love Robin Hoods Bay and have been bringing our dog for many years now. The whole place is dog friendly - the cafes, the pubs, the shops and restaurants - we are always made to feel so welcome and have many friends in the village now. Great food from The Bay Hotel in the dock and The Victoria at the top of the hill. Try a take out pizza from The Smugglers - wood fired and so tasty! This time we sampled hot chocolate and donuts on the Quarter Deck - again so friendly and best hot chocolate ever! Fish and chips from the fish box are our favourites- cooked fresh to order. We walk from RHB to Whitby on The Cinder track and also the coastal path and the other way RHB to Ravenscar on the cinder track to see the seal colony and back on the beach ending with an ice cream on the beach from the ever present van on the beach and a well deserved pint from the bay hotel or the Laurel when open! You should also have a bacon sandwich from Tea, Toast and Post up King Street - you’ll certainly want another!
