April 2026 marks another milestone for us at Baytown Holiday Cottages we’ve turned 9 years old. What started as a need to go our own way, with no cottages and a lot of determination, has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of. And while the number may change year to year, the story behind it stays the same. We’ve built and continue to build something meaningful, rooted in local knowledge, trust, and a genuine love for Robin Hood’s Bay.
From Nothing to Our First Cottage
Every journey starts somewhere, and ours began with quite literally nothing. No portfolio, no established brand, just a belief that we could make it.
Our first step was Greenfield House, the cottage that started it all and remains with us to this day. It gave us the foundation to learn, grow, and deepen our understanding of exactly what guests and owners needed. From those early days, we focused on doing things properly, clear communication, honest advice, and a hands-on approach that still defines us today.

Fast forward to today, and we now manage and represent 35 hand-picked holiday cottages under the Baytown Holiday Cottages umbrella.

We’ve established ourselves as Robin Hood’s Bay specialists for self-catering holiday lets, with 30 of our cottages located in the much sought after lower village. Placing guests right in the heart of the old village.
From coastal walks and beach days to cosy pubs, eateries and independent shops, every stay we offer is carefully positioned so guests can experience the very best of the area.

- A flexible option with 2 sister cottages for bigger groups of 14
We’ve made a conscious effort to support larger group and extended family stays, something that’s often hard to find in Robin Hood’s Bay. It means families, friends, and walkers can stay together without compromising on quality or location.
Dog-Friendly Holidays Done Properly in Robin Hood’s Bay
We know how important it is to bring your dog along, and we’ve fully embraced that across our cottages in Robin Hood’s Bay and Fylingthorpe.
We offer:

- 15 that allow two dogs
- 1 that welcomes up to three dogs
- Dogs stay FREE
We’re also home to what’s believed to be the most dog-friendly cottage in Robin Hood’s Bay and possibly Yorkshire, alongside several others that offer thoughtful extras just for four-legged guests.
Dogs are part of the holiday here, not an afterthought. Robin Hood’s Bay beach is dog friendly all year round, and you’ll also find Paws of Robin Hood’s Bay, a dedicated dog shop for visiting pups.
With coastal walks, a welcoming village, and stays designed around dogs, it’s one of the reasons so many guests return year after year.
