Not far from the top of the famous 199 steps of whitby you will find the Whitby Brewery. Standing in the shadows of the also famous Whitby Abbey.
Take the 45 minute tour of the brewery. Find out about the history of the Whitby Brewery. About the brewing process and the technology behind. And when you’re done take a pew in the bar and sample 3 of the Whitby Brewery Ales.

North Yorkshire Moors Railway
Love the power of Steam? Take a trip back in time on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. NYMR is the largest heritage railway line and runs from Whitby through to Pickering. The line picks up stations at Grosmont, Goathland, Newton Dale and Levisham.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the North York Moors how you have never seen them before. Did we mention that Goathland Station is none other than Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade Station. You may also recognise it from the long running TV series Heartbeat as Goathland is Heartbeat country.

Whitby Surf School
Learn to Surf or Stand Up Paddle on the coast of Whitby and Sandsend. Whitby boasts some of the greatest surf conditions on the Yorkshire Coast.
Enjoy one to two hours of tuition just the two of you and your coach. You’ll be catching waves in no time. Enjoying the waves of the North Sea taking in the views.

You don’t have to travel to the otherside of the world to see Whales. You could be lucky enough to catch sight off the coast of Whitby.

This is not a short trip and they do only run during certain months of the year. You will be at sea for hours so you need to have a stomach for it. Your time at sea will be rewarded with magnificent sea views and a wonderful experience.

If you love food and you love to get handy in the kitchen this is a must for you. Maybe you do a lot of entertaining or you want to add a bit of spice back into your home kitchen.
Here you will find a course to please all likes and palats.
Not only will you learn how to prepare and cook the delicious wares of your chosen course. You will pick up tips on how to choose quality produce, knife sharpening skills. You will feast on the delicious dishes you created.

Head off on the purpose built segway trails. Take in the thrills of the forest up and down hills. Navigate your way through the trees. Take in the stunning North York Moors from a different vantage point in an opening in the forest.

Rose Rylands otherwise known as The Whitby Storyteller is the wonderful lady behind The Robin Hood’s Bay Ghost Walk (an absolute must do). A fabulous storyteller there’s not much that Rose doesn't know of the folklore and legends of these parts.
Let Rose take you on your own personal guided walking tour just the two of you. Let Rose take you on a journey through Whitby’s old town. Discover secret histories and take a journey back in time. Listen as Rose recounts tales of legends, villains, ghosts and stories of smuggling.

The Yorkshire Cycle Hub
Head out onto the North York Moors and into the valley of Little and Great Fryup Dale. Here you will find The Yorkshire Cycle Hub.
No need to bring the bike. The Hub has 4 types of cycle for hire including electric. It can sure get hilly here on the moors. Hire can also include helmet’s if you don’t have one.
You will find a choice of riding options including guided rides, mountain biking and road cycling.
Burnt some energy head into the cafe for a refuel. We can highly recommend the fabulous homemade cakes. Take a pew while you top up and enjoy the views.
