52 Ways to Enjoy Robin Hood’s Bay: #47 Take a Wildlife Walk

52 Ways to Enjoy Robin Hood’s Bay: #47 Take a Wildlife Walk

A great way to see lots of the local wildlife here in Robin Hood’s Bay is to take a wildlife walk. And the best times of day to do this are very early in the morning before and as the sun comes up or as the sun goes down and nighttime falls. Why? Because the wildlife is more active after dark and at dusk.

Before you go here’s some tips:

Wear lots of warm clothes (layer up if you can) it can get very cold even on a summer’s night

Take a torch or a head torch

Wear good sturdy comfortable footwear

Use wildlife app, guidebook or fact sheet

You won’t have to walk far as Robin Hood’s Bay is surrounded by nature, wildlife and their natural habitats. Depending on where you walk you may be lucky enough to spot or hear:

To name just a few, but you never know you may just see more.

Don’t forget to be quiet and for that added little touch why not take your favourite hot drink. You can’t beat a flask of cosy thick Hot Chocolate to warm you up while you sit quietly and wait.
