Holiday With Care In Robin Hood's Bay
Sam and Sian at Baytown Holiday Cottages have been bringing you relaxing coastal escapes since April 2017. Following the Coronavirus outbreak, we couldn’t be happier to be able to continue to provide you with a home from home beside the sea.
Robin Hood’s Bay:
Robin Hood’s Bay is a small old fishing village nestled in amongst dramatic cliff tops on the North Yorkshire coast. The myriad of narrow cobbled streets is just one of the features that make Robin Hood’s Bay what it is. Add to that the charm of the stacked-up houses.
The beach spans as far as the Ravenscar headland where you will find the Seal Colony. No two days on the beach are the same, some sandy others rockpools as far as the eye can see.
You can also enjoy walks along The Cleveland Way & The England’s Coast Path. Both National Trails you will need a good head for heights. Follow the Acorn. Prefer things a little less extreme? Head along The Cinder Track, the old railway line. A mixture of woodland, moorland & coastal views. All walks head either towards Whitby or Scarborough.
You will also find several pubs, restaurants, tea rooms, takeaway food & drink outlets, general stores, attractions & quaint little shops.
Further afield you have the whole of the North York Moors National Park to explore. Vast open spaces of woodland, heather moorland, and dramatic coastline. You will find old fishing villages, market towns, and moors villages all waiting to be explored.
Dalby Forest, Whitby, and Scarborough are all reasonably close to Robin Hood’s Bay. A walk around Sneaton Forest and a visit to Falling Foss Tea Gardens* is also a must when venturing off.
*The Tea Gardens are seasonal so do check social media for updates.
