Both of us at Baytown Holiday Cottages & Baytown Cleaning & Management understand that the current situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) is the cause of great uncertainty and anxiety amongst the population. Not least in day to day life but for those with pending holidays booked in the coming weeks and months.
First and foremost, the safety and wellbeing of our customers, the general public and the cleaners that service the holiday cottages is of the highest priority.
At present Robin Hood’s Bay is operating as it always does on a daily basis and until any mandatory warning or requirement is issued, we are being assured that, that will not change.
The situation is changing daily, and we appreciate concerns regarding bookings. At present no ban has been issued on travel so in this instance should you choose not to travel and take your stay we will unfortunately not be able to offer a full refund. We may however be able to offer you an alternative solution on an individual basis.
We strongly advise you take out travel insurance if you have not done so already. Any situation that cannot be resolved with a full refund or an alternative agreement then please do contact your travel insurance provider with your concerns.
If you do feel unwell or are showing any potential symptoms of COVID-19 than we do request that you do not travel. For yours and others safety. Health and wellbeing are of the upmost importance. Please do still contact us in this instance and we will endeavour to take steps to reach some sort of an agreement regarding your stay where possible. This also applies to anyone who has to self-isolate.
Should you become ill or show any symptoms during your stay please, please do report this to us immediately. We will endeavour to work with you in a responsible manner on an individual basis keeping yours, the publics, future guests, the cleaners and our safety and wellbeing at the forefront of any decision.
We are currently working with all our property owners to agree a way forward in dealing with your concerns and any possible cancelations. Wherever possible our approach will always be as flexible as we can be. Each individual booking will be handled individually with a sympathetic approach. So, please do pick up the phone, email us and speak to us about any concerns you may have, and we will seek to find the best solution for you individually.
It is impossible for us to guarantee that all properties will be free from any infection of any sort and it would be very irresponsible for us to do so. However, all our properties are cleaned to a high standard whether by us at Baytown Cleaning & Management or the other cleaning providers that service the holiday properties.
We do advise anyone undertaking their stay during this time that supplies are limited. This is changing on a daily basis. Please do bring with you if you can source them:
Cleaning products for use during your stay
Handwash and/or soap
Washing up liquid
Toiletries including toilet roll
Food & Drink items
Where possible the usual basic items will be left by the cleaners such as:
Washing up liquid
Handwash or soap
Jay cloth or dish cloth
We do ask for understanding during this time as Baytown Cleaning & Management and other cleaning providers are like you experiencing the knock-on effect of panic buying. Please do accept our apologies if for any reason the above items cannot be left in the property you are staying in. It will simply be because there has been difficulty sourcing them. So, again we urge you to bring the above supplies with you.
